Crabapple twitter for the week of 2009-04-26
- Drinking bee balm tea, and trying to be patient about planting by the signs. #
- Adoring bee balm, which has saved my poor frayed nerves once again. #
- Enjoying this crazy weather! Sunshine, black sky, hail, sunshine, showers, blue sky… what next? #
- The sequel to yesterday’s crazy weather? Snow! #
- Down a few hundred feet in elevation… fast forward Spring! #
- Preparing for the plant explosion that will come with the warm weather. #
- Crabapple blossoms on the mountain. http://twitpic.com/3wuil #
- Making mayonnaise with duck eggs. Wow, that stuff is thick. #
- Dandelion wine strained off into the carboy. Such a lovely, sunny color! #

Personally, I’m happy to read twitter bits if that’s all you have time for
Ever made mayo with turkey eggs? Yum.

Emily: does frittata count as meat?
Kiva: I’ve never had turkey eggs! Are they anything like duck or goose eggs? I’m terribly curious now…

They’re giant and kind of… meaty, but still mild tasting and yummy. They are a bit like duck eggs but fattier I think. My duck and chicken and turkey eggs are all from various local farms, and they all feed their birds a bit different so I know that effects texture and taste as well, but I really love the turkey eggs. I’m especially lucky because there’s a lady in the village who thinks her turkey eggs are weird so she just ~gives~ them all to me.
